366 Before 40

 

I’ve been wanting to do a 365 project for quite some time now.  It is a great way to stretch my creative muscle, and to advance my photographic skills.

To really challenge myself, I decided that my 365 project should involve two aspects of photography that I actually dislike:

    • photos of myself
    • staged photographs
    • over-Photoshopped photographs

The idea is simple, yet daunting:

    • post one self-portrait per day for a year
    • all images must be created after September 1, 2011 (my 39th birthday)
    • all images must be created by me
    • the budget for the project is $366 (US)

Since 2012 is a leap year, this will technically be a 366 project.  And since I will be turning 40 in 2012, I decided on the name “366 Before 40“.

So for all of you who kept asking me to post more photos of myself, well, be careful of what you wish for.  Now you’re going to get 366 photos of me.
